Why see Whiskey Myers?

The Southern Hospitality Tour

The Whiskey Myers are gearing up for a huge year on the road in 2026, joining forces with The Black Crowes for the massive Southern Hospitality Tour while also performing a run of additional headlining summer dates. First formed in 2008 in Palestine, Texas by lead vocalist Cody Cannon and his friend Cody Tate, the band initially drew inspiration from the sounds of Lynyrd Skynyrd, Hank Williams Jr. and Waylon Jennings before carving out their own distinctive blend of Southern rock and Red Dirt country. Their breakthrough single, Ballad of a Southern Man, arrived on their 2011 album Firewater and remains one of their signature tracks. Don't miss them on the Southern Hospitality tour!

The seven-piece band features Cannon on vocals and acoustic guitar, Tate on lead guitar and backing vocals, guitarist and backing vocalist John Jeffers, drummer Jeff Hogg, percussionist Tony Kent and bassist Jamey Gleaves. Across both the Southern Hospitality Tour and their headlining shows, the band will also be joined on select dates by Southall and The Record Company.

Absolutely Fantastic!

There was nothing wrong with the acoustics in that theater, the problem was the speaker system. Even though it was not top-notch it was still good enough to enjoy a really great concert by an extremely talented group of musicians. They came out and said in the beginning that they going to put a deeper edge to these songs and that's exactly what they did. I thought they were incredible I would buy that CD, vinyl or Blu-ray in a heartbeat and I would go see that show again. If I wanted to hear the songs exactly the way that they were done on CD or vinyl I would have stayed home and listened to them that way. The fact that they did these with a hard edge, heavier rock edge I was pure genius. Well done guys!! ... Read more
